A crispy fried chicken breast covered in a hot honey sauce is known as Hot Honey Chicken. Although the dish is now popular across the US, Nashville is where it first gained notoriety.
Since chicken strips are used in place of chicken breasts in this version of Hot Honey Chicken Tenders, they cook quickly and easily. The best hot honey sauce will be whipped up while the chicken is baking after being dredged in flour, egg, and corn flakes. One of the best sweet and hot combos there is!
Because we use corn flakes instead of just flour to make them really crunchy, our version is a tasty new twist on the traditional fried food. They are baked until juicy perfection, and then a hot honey glaze is spooned over them. Crispy Chicken Tenders are elevated to new heights with this hot sauce! You'll want to apply it to everything.
INGREDIENT
You can make hot chicken tenders with a honey glaze with the ingredients listed below!
Pickle juice: To make the chicken more tender, we're using pickle juice. Since pickle juice is a dairy-free alternative to the traditional buttermilk marinade used for fried chicken, we can enjoy this dish. To quickly remove the tendon from chicken with a fork, simply scroll down to the recipe card below and select "Chicken Tenders."
Eggs: These aid in the chicken's adhesion to the flour and cornflakes. The additional protein is also not bad!
Savory seasonings: salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and chili flake powder.
Because I like that they are naturally sweetened with pear juice, we used Nature's Path Gluten-Free Corn Flakes for our breakfast cereal. Another choice is panko breadcrumbs.
Coconut oil: Butter or vegan butter are also fantastic options, but coconut oil is the base used to make the hot honey sauce.
Garlic: The delicious secret to this delicious sauce is real garlic.
Honey: don't forget to include this sweet ingredient! A pre-made hot honey, such as Mike's hot honey, could be substituted for all the spices and honey.
Apple cider vinegar: Apple cider vinegar, along with a little acid, counteracts the sweetness of the honey.
DIRECTIONS FOR MAKING HOT HONEY CHICKEN TENDERS
You can make hot honey chicken tenders in the oven by following the instructions step-by-step.
Chicken tenderization: Place the chicken tenders and pickle juice in a gallon-sized zip lock bag or other reusable container. Refrigerate for at least 20 minutes but no longer than 24 hours after thoroughly tossing to coat.
Dredge: In a separate medium bowl, whisk the eggs. Add 1/3 cup of the flour (or gluten-free flour) to the first bowl. Finally, combine the crushed cornflakes with the third bowl's remaining 2 tablespoons of flour and spices by stirring well. Place the eggs, then the crushed cornflakes, on each tender before coating with the flour mixture.
Bake: Bake the tenders for 13–15 minutes at 425°F on a sheet pan covered in parchment paper.
Hot honey sauce: Melt the coconut oil in a pan, then add the garlic and cook it for a few minutes until it is crisp. Cook for an additional one to two minutes before adding the spices and chili flakes. Add the honey, turn off the heat, and then whisk in the apple cider vinegar. Fresh from the oven, drizzle the hot honey over the chicken tenders.
STORAGE GUIDELINES
Let the chicken tenders cool completely before storing any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 5 days in an airtight container.

QUESTIONS THAT ARE USUALLY ASKED
Ques: Can the air fryer be used to prepare them?
Ans: This is a fantastic air fryer recipe to try out! They should be cooked in an air fryer at 400°F for eight minutes, turning halfway through and applying cooking spray.
Ques: Can they be fried instead?
Ans: A Dutch oven should have an inch of oil on the bottom, so add enough avocado or olive oil to cover it. The oil should be heated until it reaches 350°F over medium-high heat. The internal temperature of the chicken should be between 160 and 165 degrees Fahrenheit, so place it in the oil and fry it for 4 minutes on each side, or until the coating is crispy.
Ques: Are you able to make them chicken nuggets?
Ans: We enjoy turning these into nuggets! Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces, then coat and bake the nuggets using the same directions. Start checking the chicken's temperature at around 8 to 10 minutes because they may take a few minutes less to cook.
